Education Qualification
Community Development
Candidates must have a PG Degree/ PG Diploma in Community Development/ Rural Development/ Community Organization & Development Practice /Urban & Rural Community Development/ Rural & Tribal Development / Development Management /Rural Management with a minimum 60% marks from any recognized University/Institute of India.
Environment
1st Class degree in environmental engineering with minimum 605 marks or any Engineering degree in PG Degree/ Diploma in Environmental Engineering from a recognized University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks.
Finance
Applicant must have qualified CA/ CWA from any recognized University/ Institute.
Legal
Graduation in Law of 3 years/ 5 years from any recognized University/ Institute with a minimum 60% marks.
Marketing & Sales
MBA / PG Diploma in Management with specialization in Marketing from recognized India University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks.
Materials Management
Engineering Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering with 2 years MBA/ PG Diploma in Management with minimum 60% marks.
Personnel & HR
PG Degree/ PG Diploma / Post Graduate Program in Management with specialization in HR/ Industrial Relations /Personnel Management or MHROD or MBA/ Master of Social Work with specialization in HR from a recognized India University/ Institute with minimum 60% marks.
Security
The candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized University/ Institute.
Coal Preparation
B.E/ B.Tech/ B.Sc (Engg.) in Chemical/ Mineral Engineering/ Mineral & Metallurgical Engineering with minimum 60% marks.

Selection Process
Selection will be based only on the marks obtained in the computer-based Onlne Test (CBT). No interview will be held for final selection.
The Coal India Management Trainee Exam 2025 for Computer-Based Online Test will consist of two papers (Paper-I & Paper-II) with 100 marks each.

Salary/ Pay
Selected candidates will be placed as Management Trainee in the Scale of pay of ₹ 50,000 – ₹ 1,60,000/- at the initial Basic of ₹ 50,000/- per month during the training period.
