An eligible male & female can apply online for the recruitment of 1194 Vacancies for the posts of Constable, Head Constable HC, Sub-Inspector SI, and Assistant Sub-Inspector ASI in the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). Under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Government of India. The online application started on 21st March 2026 on the SSB official website. The last date for the application as per the notification of SSB-2026 is 20th April 2026.
➤ Online application forms submitted only may be downloaded/ printed up to 20th April 2026.
➤ The vacancies are tentative and may increase/ decrease with any notice. Any change in the number of vacancies will be intimated through the SSB recruitment.

SSB Constable, HC, SI, ASI 2026: Educational Qualification
➤ Constable (Tradesman/ Driver)
◦ Constable (Driver): Candidates must have passed the 10th Class from any recognised Board of India.
◦ Candidates must have a Valid Heavy Motor Vehicle (HMV) driving licence.
◦ Constable (Veterinary): Candidates must have passed 10th class with Science as a main subject.
◦ Constable (Trades-Cook, Barber, Washerman):
◦ Candidates must have passed the 10th class from any recognised Board of India.
◦ Min. 02 years of work experience in the relevant trade.
◦ 01- year ITI Certificate and 01 year of Experience.
◦ 02- Year ITI Diploma in the relevant trade.
➤ Head Constable (HC):
◦ HC Communication: Candidates must have passed 12th with PCM subjects.
◦ Candidates must have 03-years Diploma in Electronics, Communication, and Computer Science.
◦ HC Ministerial: Candidates must have passed 12th from any recognised Board.
◦ HC (Veterinary): Candidates must have passed 12th (Science with Biology).
◦ Candidates must have 02 year Diploma in Veterinary and Livestock Development.
◦ HC (Electrician): Candidates must have a 10th pass and a 2-year ITI Certificate in the Electrician trade, with 01 year of work experience.
➤ Sub-Inspector (SI):
◦ SI (communication): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or Information Technology Engineering.
◦ Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Science from any recognised University of India.
◦ SI (Pioneer): Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from any recognised University of India.
◦ SI (Staff Nurse): Candidates must have a 12th pass and 03 year Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) and registration with the Nursing Council.
➤ Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI):
◦ ASI (Pharmacist): Candidates must have passed 12th with Science and a Diploma in Pharmacy and registration as a Pharmacist.
◦ ASI (Radiographer): Candidates must have passed 12th with Science and 02-years Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology/ Radiography and minimum 01 year relevant experience.
◦ ASI (OT & Dental Technician): Candidates must have passed 12th from any recognised Board and 02-years Diploma and minimum 01 year work experience.

How to Apply for SSB Constable, HC, SI, ASI Recruitment 2026.
1st Step: Visit the official website of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) using the link https://ssb.gov.in/
2nd Step: Click on the “Recruitment” link available on the Centre of the page. It will lead to a new website.
3rd Step: Then Click on the “Advertisement” link. It will take you to a new page.
4th Step: Click Over the “Apply”.
5th Step: If you have not registered before, click on ‘Register’. If you have registered yourself before, then click on “Login”
6th Step: After filling the form properly, click on “Submit” button. Login ID and Password will be generated and will be send to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. Please note down the Login ID and Password for future reference.
7th Step: To upload a photo & sign, candidates must login using their Login ID and Password. Check the size of the image & sign.
8th Step: Next, make the payment using the available options. Check the application fee.
9th Step: Please preview the application form and check all the information you have filled/entered before final submit as after submitting the form in this step, the candidate will not be able to edit/modify the application form.
10th Step: After successful submission of the form, the user is advised to download & take the printout of the Online Application Form using the print form option for future reference using print Form option.
Notes:- If the online Application form & Payment is not submitted successfully, then the Applicant will not be able to download & take a printout of the Online Application form.
