Eligible applicants can apply online for the recruitment of 35,388 vacancies for the posts of BPSC School Teacher Primary, Middle, Secondary, TGT, PGT under the Education Department and SC ST Welfare Dept. of Bihar through the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) 2026. The online application is available from 01st September 2026 on the Official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission. The last date for the application, as per the BPSC-2026 notification, is 29th September 2026.

• The number of vacancies in the Recruitment of the Bihar Public Service Commission 2026 is PROVISIONAL and may increase or decrease.
• The aforesaid horizontal reservations will be provided in a compartmentalized manner. Reservations for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ PwD category candidates will apply only to the candidates belonging to the State of Bihar.
• To avail the benefit of reservation, SC/ST/OBC/EWS/ PwD category candidates must submit a Caste/Relevant Certificate in the proforma prescribed by the Govt. of Bihar and issued by the competent authority along with a Domicile Certificate of the State of Bihar.
• The SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category candidates belonging to States other than the State of Bihar will be treated under the Unreserved category.

Primary School Teacher, Class 1-5
• Class 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
• Class 10+2 (Intermediate) with 45% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education. OR
• Class 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks and a 4-year B.L.Ed. Course OR
• Class 10+2 (Intermediate) with 50% marks and a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (Special). OR
• Bachelor’s Degree in any stream with 02 year Diploma in Elementary Education.
• CTET / BTET Paper I Exam Passed
Middle School Teacher, Class 6-8
• Bachelor’s Degree with 02-year Diploma in Elementary Education OR
• Bachelkor/ Master Degree with 50% marks with B.Ed OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 45% marks and B.Ed. OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and BA BED and B.Sc Ed. OR
• Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks and B.Ed Special. OR
• Master’s Degree with 55% marks and 3-year B.Ed-M.Ed Course.
• CTET/ BTET Paper II Exam Passed.
TGT Teacher, Class 9-10
• Bachelor/ Master Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed Degree OR
• Bachelor/ Master Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed Degree OR
• 04-year Degree in BAEd/ BScEd.
• STET Paper I Exam passed.
PGT Teacher, Class 11-12
• Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks and a B.Ed Degree OR
• Master’s Degree in a related subject with a minimum of 15% marks and a B.Ed Degree OR
• Master’s Degree in a related subject with a 4-year degree in BAEd/ BScEd OR

How to Apply for Bihar BPSC Sch. Teacher 4.0 Exam 2026.
Step 01: Visit the official website of the Bihar Public Service Commission. https://bpscpat.bihar.gov.in/
Step 02: Click on the ‘Online Application‘ Tab available on the left side of the page. It will lead to a new website.
Step 03: If you have not registered before, click on “Online Registration”; if you have registered yourself before, then click on “Login”.
Step 04: After filling the form properly, click on the “Submit” button. Login ID and Password will be generated and will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number. Please note down the Login ID and Password for future reference.
Step 05: To upload a photo & sign, candidates must login using their Login ID and Password. Check the size of the photo & sign.
Step 06: Next, make the payment using the available options. Check the application fee.
Step 07: Please preview the application form and check all the information you have filled/entered before final submit as after submitting the form in this step, the candidate will not be able to edit/modify the application form.
Step 08: After submitting the application in Step 07, candidates are required to take a printout of the application form. Click on “Application printout/reprint”. Check the last date to print the application.
