SSC JHT 2026 Exam Important Dates
Eligible applicants can apply online for the recruitment of 84 Vacancies for the posts of Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translation Officer for various Ministries/ Departments/Organizations of the Government of India, through the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) 2026. The online application started on 23rd April 2026 on the official website of the Staff Selection Commission. The last date for the Application, as per the SSC notification 2026, is 14th May 2026.
● Applicants are advised to apply before the last date, as the server may have some technical issues due to a lot of traffic on the last date of the application.
● The application form correction between 19th May 2026 to 20th May 2026
● The online computer-based examination will be held in August/ September 2026.
SSC JHT Exam 2026 Educational Qualification
● Candidates must have a Master’s Degree from a recognized University in Hindi with English, English with Hindi, or another subject combined with Hindi and English as elective subjects.
● Candidates must also possess a Diploma / Certificate in Translation (Hindi/ English) or relevant experience in translation work in Government organizations.

How to Apply for SSC JHT Exam 2026
Step 01: Visit the official website of the Staff Selection Commission (SSC). https://ssc.gov.in/
Step 02: Click on the link ‘Apply’ It will lead to a new website.
Step 03: If you have not registered before, click on “Register now”, if you have registered yourself before then click on “Login”.
Step 04: After filling the form properly click on “Submit” button. Login ID and Password will be generated and will be send to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. Please note down the Login ID and Password for future reference.
Step 05: To upload a photo & sign, candidates must login using their Login ID and Password. Check the size of the photo & sign.
Step 06: Next, make the payment using available options. Check the application fee.
Step 07: Please preview the application form and check all the information you have filled/entered before final submit as after submitting the form in this step, the candidate will not be able to edit/modify the application form.
Step 08: After submitting the application in Step 07, candidates are required to take a printout of the application form. Click on “Application printout/reprint”. Check the last date to print the application.
